The Indonesian Infrastructure Monitoring Coalition in 2022 will conduct research and analysis on the equivalence and acceptability of the country safeguard system (CSS) or the Indonesian state protection system with the ADB Safeguard Policy Statement (SPS). In this research report, KPPII reviews the results of the analysis, whether Indonesia’s protection system, namely the Job Creation Law, is equivalent to the ADB SPS in protecting environmental sustainability and people’s lives from development projects.
Basically, this research was written to convince ADB that Indonesian CSS is not equivalent and cannot be applied as SPS. So if ADB enforces the application of Indonesian CSS as ADB’s SPS, then it is ADB that is actually very ambitious to use Indonesian state policies as ADB’s protection policies.
This research report on the assessment of the equivalence and acceptability of the country safeguard system (CSS) or the Indonesian state protection system with the ADB Safeguard Policy Statement (SPS) is supported by Just Finance International. A civil society organization based in Europe.
